🩺 AI for health questions

Walk into your next appointment ready, not confused.

Ever left a doctor’s visit and remembered your best question in the parking lot? AI is great at turning medical words into plain English and helping you write your questions down ahead of time. It is not your doctor. Use it to prepare, then let a real clinician decide.

Works in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok or Copilot · free versions are fine

🩺 Important: AI is not your doctor
AI helps you prepare questions, understand terms and draft paperwork, but it is not a doctor or nurse. It can be wrong. In an emergency, call 911. In a mental-health crisis, call or text 988 (US Suicide & Crisis Lifeline). Bring what you learn to your doctor or pharmacist before changing anything.

5 copy-paste prompts

1. Decode medical words

Explain these words from my test results in plain English,
like I'm 12: [PASTE TERMS]. Don't tell me what my results
mean for me. End with 3 questions I could ask my doctor.

2. Appointment prep

I'm seeing my doctor about [SYMPTOM/CONDITION]. Help me write
a one-page sheet: when it started, what makes it better or
worse, medicines I take [LIST], and my top 5 questions.
Keep it short enough to hand to the doctor.

3. Symptom diary

Make me a simple daily symptom diary table for [SYMPTOM]:
date, time, how bad (1-10), what I was doing, food, sleep,
notes. I'll print it and bring it to my appointment.

4. Understand a diagnosis

My doctor said I have [CONDITION]. Explain what it is in
plain words, what questions people commonly ask about it, and
which trusted sources (like government health sites) I can
read. Remind me to confirm everything with my doctor.

5. Insurance letter

Explain this insurance letter or bill in plain words: what
was charged, what insurance paid, what I might owe, and how to
ask a question or appeal. [PASTE, with account numbers
removed]
Tip: remove names, account numbers and anything private before you paste. The first answer is a draft; ask it to fix what’s off.
